I know I said I'd keep it simple and classic with the smart splurges, but if you keep everything else simple, a statement piece is still an investment, right?! That being said, I am in love with this alice + olivia leather jacket. The ruffles make it edgy yet girly, and I personally think this jacket could be daytime or nighttime. Wear it to work with a solid colored shift dress underneath, or with jeans and sky-high heels at night. Originally $495, it is currently available on Gilt for $219.
